Quella favola chiamata Sampdoria

Scrivo di getto, come se mi fossi appena svegliato da un brutto sogno. E invece no, è tutto vero: la Sampdoria è in Serie C. Non posso dire di essere sorpreso. Da mesi si percepiva un’aria malata, un declino lento ma costante. Eppure, fino all’ultimo, ci speri. Perché il cuore non si rassegna mai. Qualcuno dirà: “Ma dai, è solo calcio, è solo un gioco.” È vero. Ma la Samp, quei colori unici, sono stati il mio primo amore da bambino, subito dopo il pallone. Nel 1990, mentre tutti i miei compagni tifavano già per una squadra, io no. Mio padre non era tifoso, non mi aveva trasmesso alcuna passione calcistica. Scelsi da solo. Mi innamorai davanti alla TV: dei colori, di Mancini e Vialli, dei protagonisti della “Bella stagione”. A dire il vero, per un sampdoriano il giorno più doloroso non è il 14 maggio 2025, ma il 14 ottobre 1993: la morte di Paolo Mantovani. Da lì in poi è iniziata la discesa.
